Students applying for Need-Based Scholarships MUST complete
the MXCC Scholarship Financial Need Form in addition to the Scholarship application.

If
you are applying for an MxCC Foundation Scholarship, you must have
at least a 3.0 GPA (unless
otherwise noted in the scholarship criteria) and must
submit the following:
- A completed 2010 Scholarship Application form.
- A copy of the confirmation or summary sheet of your 2009 - 2010 FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to document that you have applied for financial
aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using school code
008038. (If you are an International Student who does not have a Green Card, please
visit the Financial Aid Office and obtain a financial aid request form developed for such
students.)
- A copy of your latest transcript from MxCC or, or if an entering student,
from your high school.

At least
two letters of recommendation (on official letterhead) one
of which must be from a current MxCC faculty member if you are a
returning student. Letters must indicate the writer’s
relationship to you, e.g., high school or college faculty,
employer, volunteer supervisor, etc.
Important: Letters
from relatives and friends will not be accepted.
- A brief essay describing what motivates you to succeed, why you wish to
be considered for a scholarship, and what you want to accomplish with your life and for
your community.
