Middlesex Community College 6th Annual Golf Classic

Even though it’s still chilly out, it’s not too early to start planning for one of the region’s top charity golf tournaments:  The MxCC Golf Classic, presented by The Middlesex Community College Foundation to support student scholarships and programs at Middlesex Community College. 

The main purpose of the annual Golf Tournament is to raise funds for the Foundation general use, to support student scholarships, and enrich student learning at Middlesex Community College.  Enrollment of more than 2,300 full and part-time students is the highest in years - and at least 80 percent of these fine people need and may qualify for financial aid.

This year’s Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 6th on the fabulous Robert Trent Jones Course at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, ranked as one of the top ten public golf courses in the state (Check it out at www.lymanorchards.com). 

We hope you’ll want to be part of the “in crowd” this year – those business sponsors and golfers who know what it takes to successfully raise funds for student scholarships and enrich student learning at a community college.  We’ve taken your survey recommendations to heart and incorporated several positive changes to the tournament.

This fun day includes on-course contests, prizes, gifts, great food, and 18 holes of fabulous golf at one of the greatest facilities anywhere.  Robert Trent Jones designed this championship course, which is a qualifying site for the Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour.  The Jones course is a golfer favorite with varying dog legs, water hazards, and yardage ranging from 6,200 yards to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees.  Golfers of all abilities say, “You don’t want to miss this course!”  The MxCC Golf Classic features:

  • Registration at 8:00 a.m.

  • Shotgun Start at 9:30 a.m.  Scramble Format.

  • Casual dress, collar shirt, no denim, soft spikes.

  • Golf:  $130 per golfer includes greens fees, cart, driving range, continental breakfast, lunch, social hour and buffet after golf.

  • Long drive contest, closet to pin and hole-in-one.

  • Raffle prizes.

Please consider a Business Sponsorship and/or a foursome.  Individual golfers are welcome as well.  We’ve designed this event to fit every budget.  Golfers, please sign up soon as space is limited to 144 players.  Your participation and support for our students will be greatly appreciated.
