Middlesex Community College 8th Annual Golf Classic

Who cares if it’s still nippy outside?  Spring and golf are nearly here!  You’re invited to join us for the 8th annual MxCC Classic golf tournament.  GOOD NEWS!!  Greens fees registration as well as most sponsorships like tee signs and other support opportunities are priced the same as last year.  And once again we’ll play on the fabulous Robert Trent Jones Course at Lyman Orchards, ranked as one of the top ten public golf courses in the state (check it out at www.lymangolf.com). 

Our educated students are an invaluable community asset, and we can help make their dreams and abilities come true.  There’s good news too:  student registrations at MxCC this spring are up 10 percent after a 14 percent increase last fall!  But, at the same time, the college’s state funding is severely pinched after a five percent reduction last year and more cuts possible given the state’s ongoing budget deficit.  You can help make a difference!

Please consider a Business Sponsorship and/or a foursome.  Individual golfers are also welcome.  We’ve designed this event to fit every budget.  Golfers, please sign up soon as space is limited to 144 players.  Your participation and support for our students will be greatly appreciated.

So tee it up, have fun, and know that you’ll be making a sound investment in education.  The day includes on-course contests, prizes, gifts, great food, and 18 holes of fabulous golf.  The Jones course has undergone a major renovation and, in f act, was recently selected as the site for the 2010 Connecticut Section PGA Championship in August – a truly prestigious event.

The MxCC Classic Highlights:

  • Registration at 8:00 a.m.

  • Shotgun Start at 9:30 a.m. - Scramble Format.

  • Casual dress, collared shirts, no denim, soft spikes.

  • Tournament entry includes greens fees, cart, driving range, continental breakfast, lunch, social hour and buffet dinner.

  • Long drive, closet-to-pin, closest-to-line contes and hole-in-one contests.

  • Raffle prizes.
